Sandra participates in a panel discussion of the tensions between Mormon historians and church leadership in the 1970’s, focusing on a pamphlet that responded to the Tanners’ critical book, Mormonism—Shadow or Reality? Through much intrigue the pamphlet’s anonymous author (dubbed, “Dr. Clandestine”) was eventually found to be the budding LDS researcher, D. Michael Quinn.
Participants: Sandra Tanner, Dr. Ronald Huggins, Barbara Jones Brown, and Gary Bergera.
They tie the discussion in with the Tanner biography, Lighthouse: Jerald and Sandra Tanner — Despised and Beloved Critics of Mormonism by Dr. Ronald Huggins
